This is Me!

Hi! My name is AJ Ecton and I am originally from Chicago, IL but have been living in Nashville, TN for almost 7 years now! I have a dog named Kobe who is my best-friend (in the photo) as well as I am a triplet with the coolest brother and sister in the game. I graduated with my undergrad degree in Sociology & Criminology with a child studies minor. Post college I went into social work and worked in 40 different Metro Nashville Public schools with students grades K-12. During my time working inside schools I felt called to change career paths and knew that I was meant to teach. I got my education certification through Teach for America and during my first 2 years of teaching I got my masters of Instructional Practice of Education at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. Teaching 3rd grade is my absolute FAVORITE grade. Now, I am an Instructional Coach and Academic Dean of Instruction and work closely with teachers. I truly have a passion for watching teachers grow and THRIVE in the classroom with students.
