Disclaimer: This is just a possible schedule/a rough draft of ideas on how to build out your classroom expectations and culture. I know that every school has different systems and schedules. These are activities and lessons I have used in the beginning of the school year in my own class in addition to policies my individual school upholds.

First day of school Morning Work (morning work in my class is always independent reading while they eat breakfast but for the first week of school I do crossword puzzles/low lift/easy work to get students comfortable)
